About Choru

A family chore chart for iPhone, made and supported by one developer.

Who makes it

Choru is made by one person, Emils Ozols, an indie iOS developer. I design it, build it, test it and answer the support email myself. It is one of six small iPhone apps I make for life's little annoyances, listed on .

Why I built it

I wanted an easier way to run our family chores, and to motivate my daughter with rewards so she earns her screen time and toys.

How it is built

Choru is written in Swift for iPhone. It launched on the App Store on October 29, 2026, and every release since then is on the What's New page.

Your data

There is no account and no ads. Your chores, streaks, coins and rewards stay on your device and in your own private iCloud, and a shared household syncs through iCloud between the people you invite. Analytics are anonymous and you can opt out. The details are in the privacy policy.
